Format

  • We have 9 teams signed up for Elite and 4 teams for the Recreational group.
  • We will start off with 3 Elite groups (randomly drawn) and 1 Rec group -> all play all once in each group.
  • Then we will create 3 new Elite groups (1sts, 2nds, 3rds) -> again, all play all once in each group.
  • The Top 8 Elite teams will progress to a knockout phase where each team will play 3 knockout / placement games.
  • The bottom Elite team will move into a bigger Rec group with 5 teams now -> all play all once to decide final placement.
  • All games will be 10 minutes and started and ended centrally. Then we will have 5 mins for a quick changeover of teams and scribes.
  • Teams are allowed to share/lend goalkeepers.
  • The tournament is intended to be very friendly and we ask referees to whistle accordingly.
  • There are no bench penalties - they are replaced with a penalty shot.
